About

Nam Junnan Zhang is a product designer working across product development, design research and strategy, with experience spanning product design, color and material design and UX design.

He graduated from TU Delft in 2026 with an Master degree in Integrated Product Design. During his studies, he collaborated on projects with companies including Braun, GAC and Biel Crystal, and gained professional experience through internships at VOUW Studio and Yisheng Technology.

Nam didn’t define his practice through a single design discipline, he sees different forms of design as expressions of shared design philosophy. Across physical products, digital interfaces and spatial experiences, his work explores how people understand, experience and build relationships with technology. He is particularly interested in the subtle behaviours, emotions and everyday moments that are easily overlooked, and in translating them into experiences that feel natural, intuitive and human. Working across disciplines allows him to approach each project from multiple perspectives and to connect concept, form, interaction, storytelling and visual expression into a coherent whole. “Box something out” reflects both his way of working and what he continues to pursue through design.

Outside of design, Nam tries to stay curious and attentive to everyday life. He enjoys photography, cooking, cinema and tennis — different ways of observing, making, feeling and engaging with the world around him. These interests continually feed back into his work, shaping how he notices details, understands people and creates experiences with greater care and depth.
